A little about the EMP or background on the EMP:

The story of the EMP began when consulting psychologist, Pam Mayer recognised the need for a comprehensive assessment of entrepreneurial mindset. She believed that an entrepreneurial mindset was a crucial element for leaders driving growth and innovation within their organisations. Unable to find an appropriate tool, Pam collaborated with her colleagues Jen Hall and Mark Davis at Eckerd College to develop the Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile® (EMP).

Empirical Research and Methodology:

The EMP is grounded in empirical research, ensuring its reliability and validity. Extensive research was conducted to identify the traits, motivations, and skills that define entrepreneurs (distinguish entrepreneurs from non-entrepreneurs.) The development process involved the creation of 14 scales, including factors such as optimism, need to achieve, nonconformity, risk acceptance, independence, future focus, and interpersonal sensitivity. The assessment was administered to a diverse sample of working adults and revised based on the results.

The Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile® (EMP) in Action: As an Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile® (EMP) Certified Practitioner, I integrate the EMP into my business development services. The online assessment takes 15-20 minutes and evaluates individuals across the 14 entrepreneurial areas, providing a benchmark for their entrepreneurial skills.
